Job Description:

DUTIES OF POSITION: Perform duties at the Cleary Flood Generating Station, West Water Street, substations, and other locations as required. Performs manual and clerical duties involved in the receipt, storage, custody, maintenance, distribution, retirements, and shipment of supplies, materials, and equipment from the warehouse/stockroom or another storage area. Prepare status and trending reports as required to assess warehouse inventory control program performance. Requisitioning or procuring replacement stock and maintaining inventory control systems utilizing manual and computer-based programs. Coordinate stock records with purchasing, accounting, and other departments as required. Operate materials-handling equipment such as, but not limited to, forklifts and manual pallet trucks Assist Environmental Compliance Administrator with hazardous waste duties including inspections, waste handling, sample collection, labeling, tagging, loading, and shipping. Perform and/or coordinate material receipt inspections to ensure delivered material is undamaged and correctly supplied as called out in the Purchase Order. Support the station maintenance crew when necessary to maintain plant operations. Contact vendors by telephone to get price quotes, and expedite deliveries Operate company vehicle on trips to vendors for the actual purchase of materials and supplies and deliver supplies on and off-site as needed Issue stock, supplies, and tools under lock and key control to personnel and maintain required records Prepare material and crating for shipping Must be able and willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as needed. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be capable of performing heavy work in accordance with the TMLP---s functional job description and must possess a valid Class D motor vehicle operator---s license. Applicants must possess 1C Tow Motor and 3A Hoisting licenses or obtain such within 6 months. Demonstrated experience being responsible for stockroom computerized inventory control and management is preferred. The applicant must possess excellent math skills, written and verbal communication skills, and a strong working knowledge of computerized inventory systems. Applicants must be OSHA 24 hours spill response trained or be willing to attend 24-hour-spill response courses when offered. Applicants must be able to work from heights as required.
