What is a MSP (Managed Service Provider)?Many businesses (especially those in the small / medium category) will often outsource some or all of their IT support needs rather than hiring & managing an internal IT dept. That's where Braver comes in. For a fraction of the cost, Braver & it's team of technology experts provide the exact same (but almost always considerably better) level of support that an internal Network Admin, System Admin, and Helpdesk team would provide. -We are seeking a Security Specialist who will be responsible for the deployment of our security stack within Braver Technology, building deep subject matter expertise in selected security tools and acting as a security evangelist within the organization. In addition, the Security Specialist will be responsible for working on escalated security tickets associated with the company's security tools, be heavily involved in incident response, and will act as the primary liaison between internal partners and Braver Technology. This role will work out of our Taunton Massachusets office location. - Responsibilities:

• Interface with Braver Technology clients and internal service and project departments and consult with key stakeholders regarding information system vulnerabilities and how to remediate them in an understandable and educational format.
• Act as a Cybersecurity evangelist, sharing enthusiastically about internal security-focused tools and processes internally and to clients.
• Own deployment and ongoing management of our security stack, managing the daily administration of security-related environments.
• Support and enforce a disaster recovery, security, and backup and restore plan.
• Monitor security tickets, taking responsibility for resolution, including activities related to Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving security issues associated with systems/servers and Network services. -
• Monitor security-related network performance and perform testing to provide a diagnosis of issues and to assist with the deployment of solutions.
• Monitor and analyze emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits, ensuring up-to-date patching for all products within the security stack.Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 2-4 years experience as a network/systems administrator (Level II Engineer)
  • Security-specific systems/network engineering experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response systems (EDR)
  • Knowledge of SIEM solutions and their appropriate use a plus
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms like Microsoft's Office 365/Azure or Amazon Web Services
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • MSP experience is a plus
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Network +
  • A+
