Job Summary

Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Engineer needed for immediate consideration for a direct role in the Fall River area of Massachusetts! This can be primarily a hybrid position with some travel to the site for the right candidate. This key person will be an integral team member and will play a major role in the design, development, and implementation of the MES. This is an exciting opportunity to be an important contributor to a new precision chemistry manufacturing facility. The candidate must have knowledge of specialty chemical batch manufacturing in an automated environment, with a demonstrated track record of proficiency with MES and a proven ability to configure & troubleshoot. Knowledge of control systems is highly desirable. Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or Computer Science field, with at least 5 years of experience working in the specialty chemical or pharmaceutical industries. Responsibilities

• Work with the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) team to design, author, and release electronic production procedures in the MES (Master Batch Records) which will take the place of (and expand upon) the paper manufacturing procedures
• Assist with configuring the MES to coordinate activities performed by production (e.g. factory order release, warehouse functions, equipment management, product release, QC and QA functionalities, etc.)
• Assist with updating SAP Master Recipes (BOMs/Routings) to work with the new MES procedures
• Work with stakeholders to understand complex problems and focus on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines
• Work closely within the IT organization in the evaluation and implementation of MES application updates and changes
• Support software and configuration required for external system interfaces such as Wonderware, SAP, LIMS, and Maximo
• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or Computer Science field, with at least 5 years of experience working in the specialty chemical or pharmaceutical or food production industries
