OSP Engineer - III in Taunton, MA US at Apex Systems OSP Engineer Opening in New England! For interested Candidates, please send an email with your resume to dsidell@apexsystems.com. Number of Openings: 1 Location: Remote/New England Duration: 24+ months Start Date: 4/23/21 Day to Day Responsibilities:-- * Provisioning of all service orders including but not limited to TDM (T1/T3), Ethernet & Dark Fiber services
* Circuit design utilizing TIRKS (Trunks Integrated Record Keeping System)
* Transport design utilizing the Intelligent Edge Network (iEN) and GPON network
* Creation of legacy transport systems utilizing TIRKS
* Determine routing of high capacity special services over the fiber and copper networks
* Responsible for equipment configurations and card/port assignments
* Manages multiple Capacity Creation Requests for new hardware deployments, reconfigurations, decommissions, and First Office Application (FOA) projects
* Manages design requirements for circuit additions, upgrades, outside moves, repairs & rearrangements
* Coordinate and drive engineering issues to resolution
* Maintain excellent communication with field engineering, cross functional team members and direct management to ensure early identification of issues and timely resolution
* Collaborate with OSP & ISP Engineering/Planning team Must haves:

• TIRKS experience within Verizon
• OSP Background
• Previous VZN exp Nice to have:
  • Multi year project Work Location:--Verizon New England Inc. (1231) Description:--Core Provisioning & Material Procurement Engineer is responsible for the following:
    
    * Provisioning of all service orders including but not limited to TDM (T1/T3), Ethernet & Dark Fiber services

    Required Skills/Experience
    * Bachelor degree in Engineering or technical/science/mathematics fields.
    * Proficient computer skills (windows-based programs and corporate database systems).
    * Demonstrate knowledge of circuit design SONET, TDM, T1s, ISDN.
    * Strong working knowledge of fiber SONET/Transport - Tellabs, Alcatel Lucent, Adtran, Fujitsu, Ciena & Cisco.
    * Candidate should have strong skills in oral and written communications, attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and organize work tasks.
    * Must be able re-prioritize as needed in a fast-paced working environment, when dealing with time sensitive issues and mandated deadlines.
    * Effective interpersonal skills to interact successfully with customers, management and team members to deliver customer satisfaction.
    
    Desired Skills
