Jordan's Furniture is looking to add a - Payroll Analyst - to
the join our Corporate Payroll Team located in East, Taunton, MA.
This hybrid position is perfect for those with a Payroll, HR, and
Time and Attendance background who are looking for a chance to
contribute to our Company's history of success. You will perform a
variety of functions such as payroll administration with emphasis
on application of best practice payroll processes, analyze and
review electronic time and attendance data, and contribute as a
subject matter expert (SME) in state and federal laws and
regulations governing payroll compliance with in- depth knowledge
of time and attendance systems and leave of absence and state
In this role, you will be responsible for processing - multi-state
-weekly payroll for 1,000+ salary, non-exempt and commissioned
employees. -Additional responsibilities include:
Analyzes and verifies all necessary information in the HRIS\Payroll
(ADP) and Time and Attendance (Kronos) systems
Reviews and validates electronic time records for regulatory
compliance prior to payroll transmission
Processes and verifies weekly commission calculations and payments
for sales teams located in MA, NH, ME, RI, and CT.
Prepares and transmits weekly payroll file to 3rd -party
Ensures accurate and timely processing and production of weekly and
special payrolls and off-cycle and Bonus payments.
Responds to and processes data inquiries from third party vendors
(government agencies, legal/financial institutions) and processes
and issues payments for federal, state and 3rd -party wage and tax
garnishments and child support withholding orders
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state tax
regulations as well as wage and hour laws
Contributes to and supports system updates and testing for payroll
and time and attendance system upgrades or implementations
Recommends and assists with implementing processes or system
improvements to efficiently manage payroll-related functions.
Assists with day-to day and other special projects as needed.
The qualified candidate must have demonstrated payroll experience,
including but not limited to, retail, warehouse and seasonal
employees in a multi-state shared services environment.
-Additionally, all or the majority of the following is
Minimum 3-5 years multi-state payroll experience within a
centralized payroll department.
Experience with an automated Time and Attendance system. Kronos WFR
or ADP preferred.
Experience with an outsourced payroll vendor. ADP preferred
Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent oral and written communication supported with strong
Customer Service skills.
Previous experience with bonus incentives, fringe benefits, state
disability and commission programs in a retail environment
Knowledge of current wage & hour and labor laws for U.S.
Previous experience with electronic pay card systems is
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation preferred.
Hybrid Work schedule may require working occasional nights
