A diversified manufacturing firm is seeking an HR Manager to join their team.Reporting to the CEO, the HR Manager will have the opportunity to showcase talents in a wide variety of business partner activities, including: onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, and coaching at all levels. Working in close collaboration with the rest of the HR team, the HR Manager will also assist all employees with questions pertaining to benefits, compensation, systems and pay. The HR Manager's support and expertise will positively impact the entire organization.Key responsibilities --- Cultivating trusted relationships across the organization and at all levels - maintaining an open door --- Helping to establish sustainable, scalable and flexible policies and procedures that are well-needed in a start-up environment --- Working closely with hiring managers to give employees a top-notch onboarding experience via detailed onboarding plans, 90-day check-ins and beyond --- Assisting with onboarding orientation, helping new employees understand the organization and the HR function --- Working with the payroll and benefits manager to have insight into benefits eligibility, enrollment, records, forms, HRIS platforms, and other related information - being able to answer questions from employees --- Partnering with head of HR to manage performance management program - including real time coaching, performance improvement plans, as well as cyclical performance reviews --- Partnering with head of HR and employee experience coordinator to manage employee relations initiatives, culture enhancement and employee engagement --- With Training team, facilitate HR-oriented training initiatives - management modules, harassment/discrimination, conflict, writing, presentation, and technical training support, as neededCore strengths and experience --- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in a generalist or HR business partner role - preferably within the technology, finance or professional services industries --- Proven experience working with and proving top notch HR partnership to a highly educated, technical and collaborative employee population

  • Ability to work thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs, creating processes and systems as needed
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills including public speaking/training facilitation
  • Strong organizational, execution, problem-solving and follow-through skills, with the ability to be creative and innovative
  • Excellent client (employee) service and the ability to partner with all employees at all levels throughout the organization
  • Ability to meaningfully collaborate within the HR team - sharing information, training peers and providing back-up coverage, as needed
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity, ethics and confidentiality
