A rewarding opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in stepdown care to join a dynamic medical center in Hanover, NH. This travel position offers an engaging setting within a 10-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in comprehensive medical and surgical cases, including neuromuscular disorders, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and complex surgical interventions. Nurses with proficiency in advanced monitoring techniques and critical care procedures will find this role both challenging and fulfilling. Responsibilities: - Provide expert nursing care for patients with arterial lines, ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains. - Monitor hemodynamic status using invasive blood pressure methods. - Manage respiratory support, including Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and trach C-PAP on ventilators. - Administer low dose pressors, vasoactive medications, inotropes, as well as Mannitol and hypertonic solutions. - Care for patients with complex wounds and multiple postoperative lines, tubes, and drains. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a Primary Stroke Center and recover patients from neurosurgical procedures. Desired Experience: - Proficient in hemodynamic and invasive BP monitoring. - Skilled in managing respiratory support devices and ventilator settings. - Experience caring for neurocritical care patients with complex neurosurgical needs. - Comfortable with administering advanced medications and managing critical care lines/drains.
