Position Highlights - Department: Paramedic Program EMS Education - Work Schedule: Per Diem Position Summary Members of the Paramedic Education Program faculty are responsible for providing student instruction in the classroom (didactic), laboratory, and/or clinical settings. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Utilize a variety of instructional modalities to instruct students in the classroom, laboratory, - and/or clinical settings. - Aid in the development of lesson plans, course materials, and course documents. - Aid in the development and administration of formative and summative student evaluations. - Participate in item analysis and item review of high-stakes examinations. - Participate in long-term program planning activities. - Participate in advisory committee meetings. - Set up and break down equipment required for skills labs. - Ensure student safety at all times. - Objectively grade students on psychomotor skill performance. - Supervise and evaluate student performance during field experience shifts. - Adhere to all Core Values (Compassion, Pursue Excellence, Cooperation and Collaboration, - Upholds Honesty, and Supports Innovation). - Adhere to all Absolutes (Privacy and Confidentiality, Professional Appearance, and Responsibility and Commitment). - All other job related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications ? CT Paramedic license ? Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Preferred Qualifications ? Associate’s degree or higher ? CT EMS-Instructor certification ? AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor certification ?
