Experience: Minimum years of experience required Description:
L&D RN needed for a birthing pavilion. We have approximately
1300 deliveries a year. There are 21 patient rooms, a 2-bed triage
room, and 2 operating rooms. We strive to follow staffing
guidelines, including nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 for Pitocin
and active labors/intermittent monitoring. We maintain a 1:2 ratio
for cervical ripening and a 1:1 ratio with Pitocin, as well as 1:2
for high-risk medications including Magnesium Sulfate and Insulin
drips. For antepartum and postpartum couplets, we adhere to a 1:3
