Patient Care Asst (PCA) - Cardiac Tele FT Nights at Saint Vincent Hospital summary: The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) provides basic patient care under the supervision of nursing personnel, supporting patient hygiene, vital signs monitoring, and comfort needs. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, food service, and maintaining cleanliness of patient areas and supplies. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and relevant certifications such as CPR and PCA license, working primarily night shifts in a healthcare setting. Up to $5,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs, and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. • Minimum Requirements - Education: High school diploma or GED. - Certifications: CPR; CNA license, home health certification, or PCA certification • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. • Works under immediate supervision. • Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
