Rang Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Care Manager for a travel nursing job in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Care Manager Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/27/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Utilization Review RN / Case Manager Location: Cambridge, MA Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (occasional weekend and holiday coverage required) Start Time: 8:00 AM Epic experience preferred COVID Vaccine Booster required (no declinations accepted) Local candidates not accepted Primary Responsibilities: Conduct utilization review and discharge planning for all inpatient admissions to MAH. Apply InterQual Inpatient criteria (MACIPA and MAH-approved) to determine appropriateness of care settings. Collaborate with attending physicians and house staff regarding alternatives to inpatient care. Use clinical judgment to determine and coordinate appropriate levels of care (hospital or alternative settings). Partner with MAH nurses and social workers to manage timely and effective discharges. Identify hospital days not meeting acute criteria and report them to physician reviewers. Develop individualized post-discharge care plans with patients and families. Manage observation status patients in collaboration with medical staff. Rotate into Saturday, holiday, and on-call (beeper) coverage as required. Remain compliant with insurance, contractual, and regulatory obligations. Follow MACIPA Case Management standards and guidelines. Note: “We are an equal opportunity employer.
