*Cardiac Sonographer**Lifespan**East Providence, RI*As Rhode Islands largest health system and private employer, Lifespan is dedicated to improving the health of the people within our communities. We are seeking a part-time and full-time *Cardiac* *Sonographer* to join our team at the Miriam Hospital Ambulatory Care Center in East Providence, RI and perform and interpret ultrasonic examinations of the heart.*Responsibilities:* Performs the following techniques and applications: M-mode and two-dimensional echocardiography, Doppler echocardiography (pulsed, cw, color flow, exercise (pharmacologic) and contrast echocardiography). Explains echocardiographic procedures to patients and answers any questions they have. Provides safety and comfort to all patients in accordance with the prescribed standards. Maintains quality assurance, safety, and environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital department policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as required.*Qualifications:** Completion of a CAAEP accredited ultrasound program* Eligible for ARDMS certificate examination* 2+ years of experience in Cardiac Ultrasound technology*Working at Lifespan*At Lifespan, we utilize a multidisciplinary team approach to medicine and provide the right blend of autonomy and collaboration.
