Position Overview:

To deliver corporately aligned revenues including; gross profit, sales objectives, inventory and market share while overseeing, managing and coaching all personnel and partnered suppliers who directly report and effect the division.

Essential Job Functions:

--- Manage sales daily/weekly/monthly/FYTD
--- Develop a strategic divisional vision that positively effects sales, profitability & employee development
--- Provide detailed and accurate forecasting
--- Hire, train, direct and manage sales managers and sales people
--- Create, maintain, achieve and communicate budget plans
--- Coordinate, support and create sales objectives with portfolio managers and suppliers
--- Develop programs and analysis to support sales initiatives
--- Supplier relationship development & management to achieve corporate sales & profitability goals
--- Make high level presentations to suppliers, customers, sales divisions and ownership to encompass all aspects of the business
--- Manage customer expectations, provide value and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
--- Strategically work the market with managers, salespeople, suppliers

Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

--- Exceptional organizational planning skills
--- Ability to multitask
--- Self-motivated and driven
--- Ability to coordinate efforts among different groups
--- Excellent written and oral communication skills both internally and externally
--- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
--- Strong track record of sales accomplishment required
--- Ability to educate and teach both groups and individuals
--- Budget and financial literacy required
--- Strong Interviewing skills
--- Ability to travel for presentations, trainings and events

Education/Experience/Training:

--- Excellent understanding of management and motivational techniques
--- 10+ years experience within sales, fine wine and spirit background
--- Candidate must possess valid Connecticut driver's license and registration

Physical Demands and Environment:

--- Work performed requires or no measurable physical exertion, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds
--- Work is performed in a normal office sitting with intermittent standing or sitting as determined by the incumbent
--- Work requires a high degree of mental concentration required to prioritize and effectively execute extremely complex tasks
--- Work requires travel and exposure to weather conditions while visiting customers, prospects or vendors
--- Potential for accidents due to over the road travel including traffic accidents, delivery of goods or the set up of displays
