Join our team and AMP it up!*POSITION SUMMARY: *As a Quality Manager you will oversee the inspection, measurements, documents, and calibration schedule to ensure measurement accuracy on the machine shop floor. You will work closely with machinists, production personnel, and management providing continual improvement to the quality management system.*Key Responsibilities: *Calibration: - Oversee calibration of internal measuring equipment i.e. plugs, thread plugs and rings, measuring equipment (calipers, mics, indicators), and measuring gauge blocks. - Cleaning instruments and checking the fitness of the gauge to determine wear, repair, or replacement. - Tagging gauges with proper ID to indicate calibration cycle. - Responsible for instruments that require external calibration and maintaining records to prove conformance. - Maintain the calibration database. Adding and removing gauges from service, keeping an accurate calibration history, maintaining the inventory of gauges no longer in service and keep an up-to-date inventory list, ensuring compliance to ISO 9001- 2015Inspection: - Oversee first article approval in a timely fashion - Use of calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, thread gauges, optical comparators and other measuring equipment - Train quality inspectors on various quality investigations, PPAP first article inspections, and other tasks as assigned - Step in to cover inspection when needed*Preferred Skills/Experience: ** - Ability to read and understand product and component drawings** - Must pay attention to detail *and be accurate in record keeping - Some experience with calibration - 2 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in a similar environment - Proficient with precision hand tools - Experience using electronic test equipment - Must be confident in reading mechanical drawings*Physical Demands: *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for periods of time and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch.
