We currently have an opening for a Bilingual Production Manager
(Spanish or Portuguese) in our Taunton Massachusetts facility. The
Production Manager leads, directs and oversees all manufacturing
operations within assigned facility location. The incumbent guides
multiple supporting supervisors in the areas of manufacturing, to
ensure the timely, efficient, safe, and cost-effective
manufacturing of high-quality products
Responsibilities:
Directs and oversees ongoing performance efficiency of plant
functions through the establishment and monitoring of various
organizational goals that seek to meet and/or exceed
objectives.
Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and positive work
environment.
Responsible for scheduling, planning and organizing work and
Production activities across two shifts, clearly communicating
goals and ensuring that all staff are familiar (and in compliance
with) the appropriate standards and procedures.
Oversee the sanitation team, performance and records
Drive line efficiency improvement through root cause and corrective
action
Partners with Maintenance on identifying and correcting unplanned
downtime
Manages resources to control costs and optimize profitability to
meet internal and external client expectations.
Provides support and guidance in the management of product quality
and ensures compliance with quality and sanitation policies,
procedures, and systems to include HACCP, GMPs and the management
and reduction of consumer complaints.
Provides support and guidance in the management of employee
performance development.
Reports food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as
necessary.
Follow all Food Safety guidelines, but not limited to: GMP's,
Allergen Program, Quality, Sanitation, and Safety.
Works with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and
maintainability of new and modified installations. The Reliability
Engineer is responsible for adhering to the Life Cycle Asset
Management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new
and old assets.
Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of
equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance
service providers. Develops acceptance tests and inspection
criteria.
Participates in the final check out of new installations. This
includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure
adherence to functional specifications.
Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of
equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and
safety/security systems.
Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops,
monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that include
value-added preventive maintenance tasks and effective utilization
of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies
designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate
reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could
adversely impact plant operation.
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other
problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems
include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. To
fulfill this responsibility the Reliability Engineer applies Data
analysis techniques, e.g., Statistical Process Control; Reliability
modeling and prediction; Fault Tree Analysis; Weibull Tree
Analysis; Six Sigma Methodology
Performs Root-cause, Root-Cause Failure and Failure Mode
Effectiveness Analysis (RCA, RCFA, FMEA)
Works with Production to perform analyses of assets including,
Asset Utilization, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Remaining
Useful Life and other parameters that define operating condition,
reliability and costs of assets.
Provides technical support to production, maintenance management
and technical personnel.
Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and
make/buy decisions.
Provide process engineering support for required equipment upgrades
and or modifications and champion these efforts including writing
and directing all change control activities/ deviations as required
by our quality systems, OSHA etc.
Assist in and or champion investigation of deviations that are
facilities/maintenance related etc. and ensure the appropriate
corrective actions are taken.
Direct and or assist in the design and execution of all capital
projects assigned.
Train production/maintenance personnel in problem solving
techniques.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or manufacturing or
equivalent.
Minimum 10 years' experience in a manufacturing management role
within the food or beverage industry or related capacity.
Bilingual English - Spanish (a/o Portuguese) is required.
Previous Production Management experience.
Proven track record of driving operational improvement through the
use of lean tools and methods
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
from groups, individuals or outside vendors.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple
priorities and strong attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate
(verbal/writing) effectively.
Strong analytical / problem solving skills.
Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across
other functional areas.
Work with minimal supervision execute for results in a fast paced
environment.
Ability to lead change and execute on strategic decisions.
Conflict resolution skills.
